A main ambition of scientists and staff at Livestock Gentec is to inspire the next generation of agriculture industry professionals and scientists by offering opportunities for engagement and mentorship in the pursuit of their career aspirations.
Regular initiatives to achieve this goal include mentorship of senior undergraduates in their capstone course, engagement with local 4H groups, and participating in ‘Discovery Days’, the initiative hosted by the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame to bring senior high school students to university labs for a day.
